Parents, caregivers, educators and social service agencies are encouraged to participate in the wide variety of consulting, educational and training opportunities we provide for the purpose of helping members of challenged families find peace and appreciation of each other. In addition to individual programs, several public training series are offered throughout the year. We have a special calling regarding ADHD, mood disorders, autism and issues related to adoption, particularly international.
Services & Programs
Individual Behavioral Therapy and In-home/School Consultation
Our consultants provide a variety of services to families and program teams to facilitate individual intervention programs. Our consultants provide the framework and training to implement our strategies and techniques along with the necessary program and child analysis to move the program forward appropriately. This includes ongoing training and support to the parents and others working with the child, continuous analysis and program development, and monitoring of the implemented strategies. An effective program will have continual change and growth; therefore, our ongoing consultative services remain flexible to accommodate the necessary elements of individual intervention programs.
ABLLS-R… Introductory Language and Skills Analysis-RevisedThe Assessment of Basic Language & Learning Skills can be administered with your child in your home over a 1 to 3 day period including parent interview, observation, and direct instruction with the child. Upon completion of the evaluation clients will receive a detailed report indicating the present levels of performance in all of the areas described by the ABLLS as well as recommended goals and objectives for targeted areas and data keeping instructions.
Functional Behavior & Task AnalysisModification of behaviors is most effective if the motivation behind the behaviors can be determined, because, once that motivation is known, once the need that a person is trying to fill is ascertained, a replacement behavior can be taught to meet that need more effectively and appropriately. Functional behavior and task analysis enable scientific method to be used to examine behavior to achieve measurable results. No more guess work. We prove improvements.
Family Training, Support & Research
When working with individuals with behavior challenges, there are a number of possible interventions, but some are easier to implement than others. We provide training from the most basic to the most complex interventions dependent upon the needs of each individual family. For instance, trying to learn an entirely new diet, such as the gluten free/casein-free diet that is reportedly effective for some children on the autistic spectrum, can be daunting for some people. But Behavior NetWorks can offer support at any level, ranging from clearing out the pantry, to teaching how to decipher food labels at the grocery to testing recipes to incorporate favorite foods into the new diet.
Facing an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) but not sure what support is best for your loved one? Behavior NetWorks can offer suggestions based on your specific needs and will even attend the conference as your child’s advocate.
